How We Train

  • Functional Fitness

    Strengthen the body through functional fitness exercises and nature-based immersions. We may hike through the forest, run on the beach, swim, surf or kayak together. All physical abilities welcome, each session will be mindfully tailored to client’s intentions and goals.

  • Stress Management

    Create a clear, focused mind that feels calm in any situation. We’ll practice mindful breathwork and simple meditation techniques to anchor you in the present moment, EFT tapping to release anxiety and journaling practices to help organize your thoughts.

  • Inner Connection

    Deepen your connection with that rich place inside - the one that feels like home. The space where gratitude lives, where presence steeps, and where inspiration springs from. That is the place we will practice connecting to. This is where the journey truly begins ~ from the inside out.

My Story

James is a passionate lover of the ocean, the mountains and the rawness of the wild. He finds tremendous joy in immersing himself in the island’s incredible elements and is greatly fulfilled to share these adventures with others. James is extremely passionate about sharing the stoke of life with others and finds great joy in sharing a natural and undeniable inspiration to be alive. One of James’ life missions is to support others in fanning the flame of that inspiration.

James has years of experience in intense gym training and CrossFit training, and now finds most fulfillment in leading functional fitness sessions through in the ocean, on the beach, through the forest trails and up the mountain. To immerse in the natural world while exercising supports much more than just strong muscles and flexible limbs.

As a lifelong athlete, James has always been passionate about wellness. He was recruited to play basketball at Connecticut College, where in 2016, he received his B.A. in Psychology. He currently certified as health coach and life coach and is the owner and lead guide for Soulful Adventures, where he enjoys wearing many hats on his retreats; from surf guide, to kayak guide, hiking guide and group facilitator.

James is dedicated to supporting a planet of inspired communities, full of radiant, passionate and inspired individuals. He is deeply honored and grateful to work with every individual he meets with and approaches this work as a pathway to creating a more connected and harmonious world for our children to grow up in.

Life is worth living ~ fully. Life is worth plunging into and relishing in this incredible gift to be alive. To step into our most joyful, vibrant, meaningful and fulfilling life is an adventure that so many of us are being called to take. The question is, where do start and how do we stay consistent?
